Hi! I'm Anne Hoffman and love being a "Maker"!  I've been making things since I was in grade school and love exploring new creative endeavors.

During the 2020 pandemic, to deal with all that was happening, when I wasn't hooking rugs in my spare time, I was making earrings, using scraps of wool left over from my rug hooking projects...yes I'm what our fiber friends call a "Hooker". I hate throwing away even small amounts of wool, so earrings are perfect to use up leftovers!  I recently also fell in love with carving linocut designs & block printing. You'll see kitchen tee towels and linen napkin collections in the near future. 

I'm also listing some of my rug hooked items. Each loop of the rug or hooked item is pulled by hand through a linen or cotton backing. Rugs are no longer just made with scraps of clothing or other fabrics to cover drafty floors. Each one is a piece of art that is a one of a kind treasure. Most of my rugs are hooked with 100% wool fabric that is either an as-is texture, or overdyed to create a beautifully mottled effect.   If you're interested in learning rug hooking in the Kansas City area, please visit www.heartandharerugs.com to sign up for classes or purchase patterns and supplies.
